Every year on the third Thursday of the month of November, France celebrates the arrival of Beaujolais Nouveau. The bottles are opened and the whole of France joins a wine party!
Beaujolais Nouveau originates from the Beaujolais region of France near Lyon. It comes from the Gamay grape, which gives it its fruity aroma and bright red colour.
Of course, every year we are curious to discover the new taste: banana? Red berries? Found out during our Wine Masterclass in French.
On the 20th of November, Philippe, your native French wine specialist tells you everything about the Beaujolais, from the winemaking process till the origin of the tradition.
During this course, you identify and describe flavour groups of wine and discuss sensory physiology including the visual, olfactory, textural, and taste aspects of 2 different wines.
The activity is entirely in French. Therefore, you have casual conversation in French, meet people while drinking wine, exactly as if you were in the country!
