A lovely family from Altrincham is looking for a French speaking Nanny to look after their 24 month old boy.
Their philosophy regarding childcare « The family philosophy is to offer a safe and nurturing environment. In particular, we value perseverance and encouraging our son to try to do things for himself where possible. We aim to avoid too much reliance on electronic devices such as TV and ipads but without prohibiting them entirely. Our son should be encouraged to develop his personality and speak freely but also understand the importance of being polite. There is a heavy emphasis on education and we are keen for our son to be introduced to a second language as early as possible. »
About the location Location: Altrincham is a vibrant town with lots of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, live music events, two cinemas, leisure centre and ice rink. There’s a large and very popular market house with food and craft stalls and lots of places to eat. Altrincham was voted best place to live in the UK in 2020 in a poll in the Sunday Times Newspaper.
Duties/Requirements:
All nanny duties (nanny must be well experienced with this age group)
– Focus on Child development
– Organising the child daily schedule
– Carrying out naptime routines
– Making sure the child is always safe and happy
– Supervising meal and snack times
– Changing nappies
– French Speaker required with good English (the dad speaks french but not the mum)
– The family would like someone who could take our little boy to local toddler groups (within walking distance)
– Settled or pre-settled status (or right to work in the UK visa) needed
– Enhanced DBS check maximum one year old
– Valid first Aid certificate maximum three years old
– Original of all qualifications and certificates
– Minimum 2 years experiences with contactable references
Working hours: 3 or 4 days from 15 h to 35 h per week
Salary offered: £13.50 gross per hour
Accommodation: The house has two sitting rooms with TVs and the family could offer one of the sitting rooms for the nanny’s use (as well as the bedroom and bathroom). The bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom and these rooms are on a separate floor from where the family sleep.
