“We are forming a warm, international, and intellectually engaged team to share a spacious period apartment directly opposite Hyde Park and approximately 25–30 minutes from central London universities, including LSE, UCL, SOAS, King’s, and Westminster.
The household is currently composed of an academic in Social and Political Psychology and a Communications PhD student. There are 2 more available rooms- (1225 and 1275 all included) -we hope to create a calm, supportive and inspiring home environment for research, writing and thoughtful exchange. Ideally, a household that balances quiet concentration with occasional shared meals or conversation — a home conducive to both academic work and creative reflection.
Location: Porchester Gate, Bayswater (W2), very close to Queensway station (2 min away, served by the Central tube line) and Bayswater station (5 minutes away, with Circle and District tube lines), walking distance to Notting Hill (7 minutes), right in front of Hyde Park entrance to Kensington Gardens area.
Atmosphere: Calm, respectful, research-friendly and collegial
Ideal for: PhD students, postdocs, visiting scholars, writers, policy researchers, or culturally engaged professionals
Availability: From the end of March, with preference given to those planning to stay at least 6–12 months.
