Overview
The Business Development Executive is a brand new role to help drive membership development and recruitment, with a special focus on our Active level of membership.
The Commercial Department’s main role is to establish and deliver our commercial strategy that increases and diversifies the French Chamber’s revenue. It involves recruiting new members, selling other French Chamber services, and developing our community. We have a cross-sectoral membership of 400 companies includes SMEs and entrepreneurs, as well as many of the largest French multinationals operating in the UK. Working closely with the Head of Commercial, this role will involve interactions with the rest of team, particularly with the Relationships, Communications, Events and Business services teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Source and prospect potential members in line with the commercial plan
Develop the pipeline of new members opportunities, generate and qualify leads
Discuss membership with potential members and pitch our services
Identify cross-selling opportunities to increase our revenue
Arrange recruitment and onboarding communications including emails and documentation
Update and maintain the CRM and membership database
Attend networking events

Previous experience of using a CRM
Fluent in French desirable
Experience
Business qualification or equivalent experience in sales
Experience with international/multicultural environment
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Fixed term contract with the opportunity to have a permanent contract after a year
The salary for this position is £18,000 annually
Pension 4% after 3 months
Holidays: 25 days per annum in addition to 3 days of holiday at Christmas
Our working hours are Monday 09.00-17.00. Some events, including all in-person events, take place outside of office hours.
We offer a hybrid working model and the Business Development Executive will be required to attend our office in Waterloo, London on a weekly basis (2 to 3 days per week).
The right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role, and we will not cover any sponsorship cost.
