French speaking part/full-time nanny - Gloucester Road, London SW5.

  • To look after one girl aged 2. She goes to nursery every morning (starting September 2022).

  • Start date: preference is September as the family will be travelling mid-July to the end of august - but could start earlier.

If earlier (May/June):

Hours would be Monday to Friday inclusive from 9 to 6pm (45h/week)

From September: hours aligned to nursery school calendar. This means :

Monday to Friday from 12 to 6pm with some flexibility (30h/week)

One option is to come a full day on an agreed day (9am to 6pm)

The family can offer up to 33h/week during term times with scope

  • if mutually agreed for occasional evening and weekend support.

Full-time during the nursery holiday period - noting the family do often travel during this period.

Overnight with the child one or two nights every four months if the parents are travelling.

This would be agreed with sufficient notice.

  • Salary: £13+ net per hour (flexible for the right person)

  • Language requirements: must be fluent French speaking.

Sufficient English language skills also required (to manage day to day needs or any emergency if one were to arise).
The mother speaks English and German - but only French to the child and the father speaks English.

  • As the role will include daily periods of time when the child is sleeping (up to 2 hours) the family are interested in candidates who are flexible on tasks and can take on house hold responsibilities.

This could include light housework, errands, cooking meals, shopping and everything related to the child. Experience in cooking, interest or passion in nutrition would be valued and supported by the family.

  • There may be an option for the nanny to travel with the family.

This would almost always be to France (Paris / South France).

  • The family is looking for a dynamic, kind and approachable person who is professional, sensitive, and reliable.

  • The nanny needs to be fully vaccinated.
