Are you an Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior who is studying the AAT Level 4 or the early stages of the CIMA, looking to upgrade to An accountancy firm based in Central London? Are you keen to utilise your existing accounts, bookkeeping and VAT skills, gain exposure to larger clients, and be trained so you can progress and improve your statutory accounts and management accounts experience? Are you also looking for study support so you can finish your AAT qualification and start your CIMA exams? Your role will be varied and include a mixture of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns plus the preparation of management accounts and statutory accounts (training will be provided where necessary). You will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from interesting sectors such as financial services, property, media, entertainment, technology and renewable energy. You will also use cloud based software packages such as Xero, Sage One and Quickbooks Online. You will work in a growing and supportive team and be provided with many opportunities to learn new skills and progress.
To be considered for this new role (March 2023) you will likely be an Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant / Accounts Semi Senior, ideally studying AAT Level 4 or AAT qualified, and have at least 18 months experience in a UK based accountancy practice firm. You must have experience of bookkeeping assignments, bank reconciliations and VAT returns. Experience of management accounts and statutory accounts would be an advantage. Ideally you will have experience of cloud based software packages.
French language is also desired.
The role will include:
- Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare bank reconciliation for companies
- Prepare VAT returns
- Manage invoices for specialist companies
- Prepare Budgets and variance analysis (Actual v Budgets)
- Monthly salary pay
- Prepare Year End accounts for companies
- Help the partner with individual tax returns
- Administrative support to the partner
- Use of intuit and xero
- AML for new clients
